BSRIA releases new utility services guide

A new guide from Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA) provides guidance to assist with planning, design and installation of utility services.
BSRIA releases new utility services guide
The guidance, Utility Connections and Diversions ties together eight work stages described in BSRIA's BG 1/2009 Building Services Job Book.

BSRIA has launched the guide to provide project managers, designers, contractors or anyone else involved in the provision of utility services with the tools to carry out a successful installation.

To help ensure that a project is completed safely, on time, on budget and with minimal disruptions the guidance aims to bring together key aspects that need to be considered; including the physical issues such as the planning and installation of materials like cables, pipes and associated apparatus and also the service provision issues associated with the availability, capacity and security of the commodity at the point of supply. Getting these aspects right should lead to successful completion of a project on time and on budget with minimal disruptions.

The guide will shortly be available to order at £50 full price or £25 to BSRIA members.
