BSE class proves a hit with teenage girls
High achievers aged 16-18 were selected from secondary schools in the North West and were given BSE-related tasks including quizzes, computer aided design (CAD) and a visit to a building services plant and control room.

Female 'Sector Ambassadors' spoke of their roles and route into the sector at the one-day event at Liverpool John Moores University on April 25.

SummitSkills plans to schedule further events this Summer to boost young females' perception of the sector.

Rob Wellman, operations manager for SummitSkills in the North West said 'A young woman who attended the event has already contacted SummitSkills interested in doing work experience and is now considering the sector as a career.'
