As part of its ongoing investment into the commercial sector, Baxi Heating has appointed Adam Turk (pictured) as managing director of its UK commercial business, which comprises Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton Commercial, Remeha and SenerTec UK. With a wealth of experience in the building products sector, Adam will be instrumental in the continued growth and success of Baxi Heating’s commercial brands.

Adam has 25 years’ experience in the building products industry. He has worked in a range of sales and marketing roles, often managing multiple brands. Having previously worked for British Gypsum and Jeld-Wen, he joins Baxi Heating from Polypipe. His 11-year career with the company included the role of sales and marketing director at Polypipe Terrain; running the export arm Polypipe International; and, most recently, the role of group commercial development director. This last position involved assisting the various UK businesses to work together where appropriate.

Adam is based at Baxi Heating’s UK Commercial Centre of Excellence in Wokingham, Berkshire. The centre is the head office for Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton Commercial, Remeha and SenerTec UK, providing customers with easy access to a one-stop-shop for commercial water heaters, commercial boilers and combined heat and power products. Although the brands operate independently and have their own routes to market, in his role as managing director Adam will ensure the brands work together, sharing technical skills, best practice and expertise. This strategy will provide a common interface for customers when a range of the brands’ products are being used on a single project to create a joined-up solution.

Commenting on his new role, Adam said: “It’s an extremely exciting time to join Baxi Heating’s commercial business, with the brands developing ways to work together while still maintaining their own individual identities and product specialisms.

“Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton Commercial, Remeha and SenerTec UK all have their own strengths, and very knowledgeable, talented, experienced teams – my aim is to support and encourage all members of staff, and to make sure they have the opportunity to share knowledge and learn from each other. Although the brands will remain distinct, my intention is to create one overall team that will work together strategically to achieve common goals and objectives, including an unrivalled, best-in-class sales and aftercare service.”

David Pinder, CEO of Baxi Heating in the UK and Ireland, said: “Adam has worked at a senior level in the building products environment for many years, and his experience includes strategic business integration and customer relationship management – making him a real asset to our business and highly suited to his new role. His prior experience in integrating teams will be invaluable in shaping the future of our commercial business as the brands embark on working together under one roof.”

Adam has spent the last 17 years being heavily involved in the building industry’s drive for increased collaboration, and has sat on various boards and groups including Constructing Excellence, the Housing Forum and various Construction Products Association committees. He also played a fundamental role in Polypipe achieving a Queen’s Award for International Trade, and in winning Building Manufacturer of the Year in The Building Awards.

Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton Commercial, Remeha and SenerTec UK are part of Baxi Heating, along with Baxi, Baxi Potterton Myson, Potterton, Heatrae Sadia and Megaflo.
