Albion welcomes new director

Albion Valves (UK) has added an additional member to its board of directors, appointing Stephen Bloomer, who will hold the role of financial director.

Albion's new financial director Stephen Bloomer

Mr Bloomer joined Albion three years ago as accountant / company secretary and he has helped to modernise the finance department enabling greater efficiencies for the company and its stakeholders.

As well as improving the finance department, he has also been involved in improving other areas of the business too, such as overhauling the company’s ICT systems and human resources department.

Before joining Albion, Mr Bloomer held a number of accounting roles over a 10-year period, within finance functions of various sizes, enabling him to gain substantial experience.

David Keys, Albion’s managing firector, commented: “Stephen is a great asset to the team, since his appointment as company secretary he has implemented many changes within Albion, which has greatly improved the efficiency of our day-to-day operations. I am sure he will have great success in his new position as financial director. He has the full backing of the board and we are pleased to offer him this opportunity.'

Mr Bloomer said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the shareholders and the board for putting their trust in me. Being invited to join the board in this capacity at such an exciting time for the company is a great pleasure.
