Wendon becomes HEVAC president

The new president of HEVAC, the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Association, is Paul Wendon of Fläkt Woods.
Wendon becomes HEVAC president
Paul Wendon was elected to the top post having served as HEVAC's vice-president. He is Flakt Woods' engineering and product management director. In the second year of his two year term as president, Wendon will also serve as president of FETA, (the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations), of which HEVAC is an incorporated association.

Wendon started his career in an engineering apprenticeship with Woods of Colchester, now part of Fläkt Woods. He chairs FETA’s Commercial Marketing Services Committee.

He has also represented FETA within the Construction Industry Policy and European Regulation (CIPER) Group, the then Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) ‘think tank’ exploring the impact of regulations on the industry. As industry advisor, he contributed to the government’s ‘Strategy for Sustainable Construction,’ published in June 2008.

He said “Within the context of the global environmental challenge, HEVAC members are part of the solution.

'They are already making a tremendous contribution, through increasing energy-efficiency and the use of sustainable technologies and this deserves better recognition. I am determined that the association will build upon the important work already carried out.”
