Toshiba Air Conditioning is expanding its UK network with the appointment of DYSK Air Conditioning as a full Toshiba distributor.

DYSK, based in Harpenden, Herts, will offer the company's full range of products, spanning splits, multi-splits, VRF and heat pump ranges.

David Dunn, commercial director of Toshiba Air Conditioning, said: 'DYSK is a well known and respected distributor in the market, and is a welcome addition to Toshiba's growing network.

'It is a further important step in advancing our ambitions to build on the substantial growth achieved over the last two years, and make Toshiba available to a wider marketplace.'

Toshiba Air Conditioning announced at its recent distributor conference in Dublin that it will not be raising prices for the majority of its Toshiba air conditioning and heat pump ranges this year, despite sharp rises in material costs and competitor price increases across the market.

Mr Dunn said: 'As a result of significant growth in our sales over the past two years and anticipated growth this year, we have been able to absorb the increases in material and development costs that our competitors have passed on to customers.'

The price freeze covers Toshiba's popular VRF systems, Digital Inverter, Super Digital Inverter and Estia ranges, plus related accessories.

'It is obviously good news for our growing customer base, and has been welcomed enthusiastically by our distributors. With major new product launches set for this year, an expanded UK supply network, and now assurance of highly competitive prices, the elements are in place for a great year for the company.'

Toshiba's twice yearly distributor's conference was held in the Irish capital to mark the 30th anniversary of GT Phelan as a distributor of Toshiba Air Conditioning.

In achieving the milestone, GT Phelan becomes the longest-serving distributor of Toshiba air conditioning in the Western World. In recognition, Mr Dunn presented the company with an engraved plaque at its headquarters just outside Dublin.

Toshiba briefed distributors on the forthcoming launch of the company's ground-breaking SHRMi three-pipe VRF, which introduces major enhancements to further improve efficiency and performance, based on a pioneering new controls platform.
Toshiba is also preparing to introduce new additions to its ESTIA heat pump range.

Also on the launch-pad for 2012 is a new online system for ordering Toshiba spare parts. The European-wide initiative is designed to enable customers to quickly and conveniently identify replacement components for Toshiba equipment and purchase them directly online.

'With innovative new products and services lined up for 2012, and a significantly enlarged UK distributor network, Toshiba Air Conditioning is looking forward to a third year of sustained growth,' Mr Dunn said.
