Renewable energy specialist Stiebel Eltron UK has agreed a major partnership with engineering distribution company Modern Plant Ltd, through which it will expand into Ireland.
The deal will see Modern Plant stocking and distributing a wide range of Stiebel Eltron products, from ground and air source heat pumps and solar technology to instantaneous hot water heating and ventilation systems.
Established in 1962 and with headquarters on the outskirts of Dublin, Modern Plant Ltd is one of Ireland’s leading suppliers of high quality control and automation and shower and bathroom products. Its customers include architects, specifiers, mechanical engineers, facilities managers and domestic consumers.
Managing director of Stiebel Eltron UK, Mark McManus, said: “For Stiebel Eltron UK this is an excellent opportunity to develop our brand across Ireland, building new relationships and working closely with Modern Plant Ltd to offer market leading heating solutions to a variety of commercial and domestic customers.
“Modern Plant Ltd will be stocking and distributing a full catalogue of Stiebel Eltron products, from both our renewable energy and home comforts ranges. We see this is a viable long-term partnership which can really bring added value to both our businesses.”
This year Stiebel Eltron is celebrating its 90th anniversary. Founded by Dr Theodore Stiebel in Germany in 1924, the company is still family owned and has a global reach and turnover of more than €500m.
