Spirotech invests in new logistics partnership and distribution centre

Spirotech has invested in a new logistics partnership and distribution centre to provide faster delivery and enhanced service for customers across the UK.

Partnering with global logistics company Blacksmith Freight Services, Spirotech has a new 34,000 sq ft distribution facility adjacent to Manchester airport. The centre will deliver significantly enhanced UK stockholding for the Dutch headquartered business, and facilitates next-day delivery as standard, with same-day available when needed.

The investment forms part of Spirotech UK’s growth strategy, which will see the business relocate to a new UK head office later this year to house its growing sales, customer support and technical team.

Commenting on the new facilities, Spirotech business director UK Rob Jacques said: “The business has experienced significant growth in recent years, and the move to a new distribution centre allows us to meet demand and provide the highest levels of service to our valued customers.

“The facility’s warehousing capacity and management system, combined with the experience, support and passion of the Blacksmith team will enable us to swiftly fulfil orders and provide real-time tracking for customers.”

Roger Black, group chief executive at Blacksmith Freight Services added: “We look forward to working with the Spirotech team at such an exciting time for their business. Our facilities are ideally located at Manchester Airport with airside access to receive product shipments as they arrive into the country, which allows us to deliver incredibly quick turnaround times to get product out to customers as and when they’re needed.”
