SFL reaps award and 24% rise in sales
SFL transformed its manufacturing processes through the implementation of in-house lean initiatives. SFL's managing director Sami Caglar received the regional award at the ceremony on November 19 and the firm now goes through to compete in this category in the national final in February 2010.

Sami Caglar managing director said 'I am very proud to be an employee of SFL along with all of my colleagues. As Henry Ford once said 'Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't; you are absolutely right.' And once again SFL employees have proven that we are saying 'We can''.

The EEF awards were launched this year to celebrate innovation, environmental performance and skills development among UK manufacturers. SFL manufactures flue, chimney and exhaust systems for commercial and domestic markets. SFL is owned by the Powrmatic group which manufactures commercial heating, air handling equipment and open air, powered and smoke ventilation.
