Last week staff from Remeha Commercial joined in a static bike ride to raise funds for the company’s chosen charity partner, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
With two stationary bikes taking pride of place in the central reception area, Team Remeha successfully covered the pledged distance from their Wokingham Headquarters to Marie Curie’s London headquarters and more, totting up an impressive 310 miles in total.
The static bike ride, together with an accompanying raffle, has raised £730 to date to support the excellent work of Marie Curie nurses who provide specialist care to people with terminal illnesses at home and in the charity’s hospices.
Remeha Commercial’s managing director, Mark Northcott, said: “This was a marvellous event with the company coming together to raise what has proved to be a fantastic sum for such a worthy charity. The bike ride is the latest in a list of fundraising activities that we have been holding as we continue to support Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The next fundraising activity takes place in September when members of the team will test their endurance by scaling Scafell Pike.
