REHAU now taking bookings for district heating workshops

REHAU has announced the upcoming schedule for its popular District Heating Workshops, which are designed to help system designers and contractors maximise the efficiency and cost effectiveness of their district heating schemes.

REHAU has announced the upcoming schedule for its popular District Heating Workshops, which are designed to help system designers and contractors maximise the efficiency and cost effectiveness of their district heating schemes.

The pipework specialist is taking the half day workshops around the UK this Autumn, with the next event taking place at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay on Thursday 22 September and then at the Emirates Arena and Sir Chris Hoy velodrome in Glasgow on Tuesday 4 October.

As well as expert speakers from REHAU advising delegates on how to optimise the pipework specification on district heating schemes, other key speakers will include Dave Pearson from Star Renewables and Phil Jones from CIBSE giving advice on the CIBSE/ADE Code of Practice for heat networks.

At the Cardiff event, Michael Jenkins from Bridgend Council will be giving a public sector perspective on the benefits of district heating and at Glasgow, Ken Brady from the Energy Saving Trust will be focusing on the potential efficiencies and fuel savings available.

Steve Richmond, head of marketing and technical in REHAU’s Building Solutions division, said: “These workshops always deliver lots of useful information in easily digestible half hour segments, and there is plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions.

“The current level of interest in district heating means they are always well attended so it’s advisable to book a place early.”

All of the events are free to attend. Registration is already open for Cardiff and Glasgow via the REHAU website at www.rehau.co.uk/districtheating
