Qvantum Energy Technology becomes Executive Member of HPA

Qvantum Energy Technology has underlined its commitment to supporting the decarbonisation of heat in the UK by becoming an Executive Member of the Heat Pump Association (HPA).

Stepping up to the top tier of membership at the HPA will give the heat pump manufacturer a clear voice in policy decisions and the future direction of the industry.

Qvantum Energy Technology has entered the UK market with an innovative range of products featuring thermal batteries and open API protocols designed to integrate with the energy system, rather than adding to grid stress.

Chief executive Phil Ord said: “It is crucial that policymakers, businesses and technology providers work together to prioritise heating solutions that support a flexible, low-carbon future.

“Our new membership level at the HPA puts us in the perfect position to help shape the conversation around what follows next, and to support the transition to intelligent electrification.’’

The HPA aims to influence legislation and other matters that affect the interests of either the industry or its members, and co-ordinates detailed technical and market research.

Executive membership means Qvantum will be present at regular executive policy meetings and workshops, in addition to having representation on the HPA’s four working groups covering training, technical, marketing and commercial issues and opportunities.

Additional benefits include access to the HPA’s Monthly Heat Pump Sales Data, and its monthly Government Grant statistics with an in-depth review of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme each month. In addition, Qvantum looks forward to accessing the HPA’s in-person events and workshops and networking with other members.

HPA Chief Executive Charlotte Lee said: “We’re delighted to welcome Qvantum Energy Technology as an Executive Member. The company puts great emphasis on designing innovative products that are part of the decarbonisation of heating solution, and we welcome the opportunity to work more closely with the team and continuing to amplify a collaborative, powerful sector voice.’’
