Plumbase branches out to new areas

The Plumbase network has grown by 12 branches following the acquisition of 11 PTS branches and one City Plumbing Supplies branch from Travis Perkins.
Plumbase branches out to new areas
This expansion brings the total number of Plumbase branches to 194, with the new locations opening up new trading areas within the UK. The new re-branded branches are in Bridgend, Port Talbot, Swansea, Merthyr Tydfil, Haverfordwest, Tamworth, Telford, Hitchin, Luton, Witney, Woolwich and Newport on the Isle of Wight.

Chris Maityard, Plumbase operations director, said: 'To add 12 new branches in a matter of days is an exciting step forward for us. It also involved a lot of hard work and commitment from both our existing teams and our new colleagues, and provided a great opportunity to develop teamwork.'

Mr Maityard continued: 'Customer service will be the first priority with, we believe, plenty of benefit to our customers. As a merchant, we have an independent ethos and a strong focus on customer service, which we are very proud of. Customers will have an enhanced product choice as Plumbase lines will be introduced alongside the existing ranges. The core plumbing and heating ranges will be augmented with bathrooms, sanitaryware and boiler spares. They will, for example, have access to 15,000 boiler spares, for next day delivery.'
