PH Jones is backing the Government's drive to create 100,000 more apprenticeships in the UK by 2014.
The property maintenance and multi-utility metering services provider has committed its support to young people by joining forces with a number of partners to provide apprenticeships placements.
PH Jones currently employs 32 apprentices throughout the UK as well as number of gas engineer and plumber trainees. The apprentices gain qualifications while training to supplement the practical knowledge and skills gained through their work placements.
The company has already been helping young people in the construction and property industry to build strong career foundations from working with partners such as Liverpool Mutual Homes and Lancashire Housing Partnership
Martin Jones, managing director of PH Jones, said: 'PH Jones is dedicated to the training and development of both our own workforce and young people wanting to work in the industry.
'This month, the Government supported Apprenticeship Week 2011, backing findings released by City and Guilds which found nine out of ten employers saw apprentices as key to the future success of their business.
'We recognise these benefits for individuals, local economies and as part of wider regeneration plans.'
Last year, PH Jones' apprentice, Matthew Mullen, was named Apprentice of the Year by Lancashire Housing Partnership, and apprentice Joseph Lavin won the Leeds College Building Apprentice of the Year Award.
