New Baxi board director to support growth across key commercial sectors

Baxi has further bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of Shane Suter into the new role of Commercial Business Director to support commercial HVAC professionals.

Shane Suter, Baxi's Commercial Business Director

Suter brings over 30 years’ experience working in the built environment, initially in the Royal Engineers before working in business development and leadership roles with heat pump manufacturers, SMEs and Merchants.

The newly created role will see Suter further develop Baxi’s support for commercial specifiers, M&E consultants and contractors, facilities and energy managers and commercial end users. This includes leading Baxi’s team of experts to ensure clients benefit from the most appropriate heating and hot water solutions to reduce their emissions and increase efficiency, as well as the training and ongoing consultancy to ensure they understand how to implement and operate them correctly.

With particular expertise in sustainability, energy efficiency and decarbonisation, Suter will also be responsible for the continued expansion of Baxi’s heat pump strategy for commercial properties to support growth across key commercial sectors.

As commercial HVAC customers look to introduce more energy efficient technologies, Suter is also set to drive forward the company’s support for modular options through Baxi Packaged Solutions. Amid an evolving policy landscape, delivering solutions like these will be key to removing barriers to uptake and accelerating implementation.

On his appointment, Suter said: “I am excited to be joining Baxi at such a pivotal time for the industry. Given the fast-changing policy landscape, it is a time of transformation for the commercial HVAC sector and we are committed to evolving our end-to-end solutions and services to meet the needs of our customers.

“Part of this requires us to have a full range of solutions to meet any project needs, from heat pumps to hybrids and heat networks, as well as underpinning these with the expertise to support our customers with their project ambitions. Baxi’s extensive knowledge of the UK heating industry, coupled with our wide portfolio of solutions, means we are perfectly positioned to drive development and bring added value to our commercial customers.”
