Johnson Controls has appointed Richard van Bergen as vice president and general manager, Energy Solutions Europe and Africa.
The Energy Solutions division offers public and private organisations energy efficiency solutions and technologies for their premises, including office buildings, industrial complexes and manufacturing centres.
Mr Van Bergen joined Johnson Controls' Sabroe refrigeration products division in 1998 and has since held various leadership roles. Most recently he served as regional vice president central and west region within Industrial Refrigeration Europe.
He holds master's degrees in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and supply chain management.
