The new interactive academy is a significant investment from the market leader in chemical water treatments and system filters, and offers installers, apprentices and trainees at varying levels of experience the chance to gain product knowledge as well as practical training.
The launch event, which took place in September and included a welcome from Fernox General Manager Charel Marais, followed by the official ribbon cutting ceremony, lunch and the chance for attendees to tour the modern facility, which includes an impressive research and development centre. Named after Ernie McDonald, the company’s former General Manager for over 25 years, the new academy is a clear demonstration of the team’s long-held commitment to education, training and development.
The academy showcases the company’s full product range while giving an in-depth insight into how products for both domestic and commercial applications work. In addition, the space demonstrates the extensive testing equipment required, with Fernox going above and beyond current industry standards. The Fernox Experience can be booked for bespoke sessions to meet the needs of new or existing customers, and those currently studying, with Fernox partnering with numerous colleges throughout the year.
Charel Marais at Fernox commented: “We are incredibly proud of the Fernox Experience and The Ernie McDonald Training Academy. The opening event was the culmination of significant time and investment to create a modern and adaptable learning space that can support the needs of future generations of heating and plumbing professionals. We are looking forward to welcoming attendees to gain insight into our industry leading products, robust testing methods and to learn essential skills.”
