HygroMatik to exhibit at ACR Show

The 2016 ACR Show will see HygroMatik’s national sales manager and chairman of FETA’s Humidity Group, Andie Chessun, present the white paper Humidity and its Impact on Human Comfort and Wellbeing in Occupied Buildings.

The aim is to raise awareness and stress the importance of occupant wellbeing.

With research showing that Europeans spend at least 90 per cent of their time indoors, the importance for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is amplified. From schools to hospitals, offices to shopping centres, IAQ should be of the highest quality to help minimise growth of allergenic or pathogenic organisms that can cause respiratory problems and infections.

Andie said: “Research shows that the level of pollutants inside often exceeds that of the air outside (caused by confined spaces and a lack of ventilation), impacting on occupants’ health, so why is the issue of humidification being neglected?

“In a workplace, superior IAQ means better occupant wellbeing, resulting in less employee discomfort and absenteeism. Excessively dry air is ideal for a variety of microorganisms that can lead to respiratory problems, infections, colds and sore throats; installing a humidification system means these employers can save money on employee duty of care in the long term. We can say with confidence that the legislation we have been pushing for will benefit both the employee and the employer.”

HygroMatik is supporting this plea for legislation and will be exhibiting at the ACR Show at Stand B41. Andie, along with the UK team, will be on hand to discuss the white paper and the industrial humidification systems available at HygroMatik.
