B&ES Publications is the new name for HVCA Publications to reflect its full coverage across the building and engineering services sector.
As a division of the Heating and Ventilating Contractors' Association (HVCA), the rebrand was launched on March 1 (2012) in line with the HVCA's name change to B&ES (Building & Engineering Services Association).
Despite the name change and rebrand, B&ES Publications documents bearing the original HVCA logo and HVCA Publications name are still valid and factually correct. There is no need for customers to obtain new documents bearing the new name and logo if there have been no technical or legislative updates.
Rachel Davidson, Registration Schemes and B&ES publications manager, said: 'B&ES Publications reflects the company's increasing knowledge and expertise in building and engineering services, which has included far more than just heating and ventilating for some time. Just as the HVCA outgrew its name with its members now providing services in ventilation hygiene, refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps and facilities management services, as well as the original heating and ventilating, so did HVCA Publications. The new name, B&ES Publications, more accurately describes the services provided by its experts.'
