Henderson Green, a south coast building services consultancy, has launched a new 'academy' to support new recruits and promote movement within the organisation.
The academy will see one mechanical and one electrical junior engineer join the 27 strong team every two years and the consultancy, which specialises in complex sustainable engineering solutions, has kick-started the scheme by recruiting Adam Kater, a junior electrical engineer and Alex Jackson, a junior mechanical engineer.
Henderson Green will ensure each new academy member gains professional qualifications as well as hands-on experience in the office. Each will begin their journey to becoming qualified engineers with a structured training programme at college and university to HND/degree level. This will be supported by a partnership with a mentor who will oversee their development and provide additional learning through the sharing of their own technical expertise and industry experience.
Henderson Green managing director Russ Pitman said: 'It's fantastic to have our new 'academy' up and running and we feel it's an exciting way to bring in new talent and grow our company. We are delighted to welcome Adam and Alex to the team. Both of these young men have worked extremely hard and were determined to be selected for these roles and we look forward to helping them grow and develop their careers in the coming years.'
The consultancy has also boosted its numbers in recent months by recruiting three other employees - Lee Windebank, a CAD technician; Colin Goodwin, a senior electrical engineer, and Chris Collinson, a senior mechanical engineer.
Henderson Green specialises in renewable technologies and the design of engineering systems.
