Heat Pumps: Water source Versatemps - the next generation

Clivet UK has developed a new generation of Versatemp wall-mounted water source heat pumps.
Available in six capacities, the Versatemp EQV-X range offers cooling outputs from

1.9 kW to 4 kW. In wall-mounted or floor-standing versions, all models are pre-charged packaged units requiring no refrigeration connections. High levels of energy efficiency are obtained thanks to the use of modern rotary compressors, electronic thermostatic valves and a source-side plate heat exchanger. When operating in standard conditions, all units have EERs greater than 4.1 and COPs greater than 4.4.

The packaged units are designed to use minimal refrigerant charges and sound levels have also been significantly reduced.

Versatemp EQV-X units have been designed to reduce installation time and cost, with a variety of plumbing assemblies specifically manufactured for closed or open loop systems, fixed and variable flow. The EQV-X product range has been carefully designed to enable installers to quickly retrofit in place of earlier Versatemp models including the EQV, VV and VM.

Options

A variety of options are available including cased and uncased units, floor standing feet, differential flow switches and water side modulating valves for variable flow applications.

The stylishly-designed units incorporate a new range of controls that utilise a simple user- friendly display with more sophisticated features to suit the needs of even the most demanding control specifications. The controls can be wall mounted, hidden behind architectural surrounds or inbuilt as part of the stylish fascia design when used with units that are on display. The units can also be connected in a mini network providing master slave control or controlled remotely via the RS485 serial interface.
