Hamworthy boiler goes on tour

Hamworthy is taking to the road to show consumers how they can save money on heating and hot water costs and cut their energy consumption.
Hamworthy boiler goes on tour
The 'Cast Iron Tour' which will travel nationwide uses a bespoke roadshow vehicle featuring an old atmospheric boiler installation alongside a modern condensing boiler system. Consumers will be taken on a tour through the two different systems to identify the faults and see where efficiency improvements can be made by upgrading boiler plant and improving controls. Experts from Hamworthy will also be on hand to answer any questions and explain how energy savings can be made.

Housed inside the van is the Purewell VariHeat cast iron condensing boiler, which is designed and built at Hamworthy's factory in Poole. The company says that the highly efficient condensing cast iron boiler offers the perfect solution for refurbishment projects. Detailed schematic designs for a heating circuit, domestic hot water system and solar circuit will be displayed on the wall and visitors will be able to see how, with the right control strategies, efficiencies in multiple boiler installations can be vastly improved using the boiler.

Visitors to the van will also be able to enter a competition with the chance to win a cast iron wine rack and a case of wine to fill it.
