Fernox unveils new production facility

Fernox has opened its new chemical water treatment manufacturing facility in Wantage, Oxfordshire.

The Oxfordshire-based manufacturing facility has enabled Fernox to provide a more efficient service to customers.

Bringing employment opportunities to the local area and supply chain benefits, the new facility has increased production capacity and flexibility.

Fernox is committed to serving the UK and export markets post-Brexit, and the opening of the new facility has improved efficiency and enhanced stock control procedures. This has already resulted in shorter ordering times and a better service for customers.

The new facility manufactures the complete Fernox chemical water treatment range, including Protector F1, as well as the innovative inhibitor and active dispersant package, Filter Fluid+ Protector.

The company’s high quality chemical water treatment portfolio, which includes everything from inhibitors, cleaners and limescale remedies to solar, air and ground source heat transfer fluids, remains tried and trusted by professional installers and contractors around the world.

Ernie McDonald, global director at Fernox, said: “The new 24 hour production facility has a workforce of 240 employees that allows us to offer the highest quality service levels and be responsive to individual customer needs.

“As we continue to develop innovative chemical water treatments for the UK and export markets, the Wantage facility will be crucial to grow the local economy and enhance supply chain capability.”
