His daughter Sindia Ziehl will now also join the supervisory board of the company.

Dennis and Sindia Ziehl are great-grandchildren of the founder of the company Emil Ziehl.

Dennis is working full time as director of the Ziehl industrie-elektronik GmbH in Schwäbisch Hall and is also a member of the IHK general assembly.

Uwe Ziehl has always encouraged the family to be involved in the company with both Denis and Sindia joining in more than 80 meetings of the supervisory board over the past few years in order to ease the transition.

Uwe Ziehl was awarded the Medal of Economy in Schwäbisch Hall for his excellent entrepreneurial efforts and special services to the economy of Baden-Württemberg in Germany.

While in college, Uwe Ziehl founded ZIEHL industrie-elektronik GmbH & Co KG in Schwäbisch Hall, a producer of measuring and control devices. Ziehl-Abegg grew to a globally leading producer of fans for air and climate technology as well as for elevator drives. Today the company employs 4,300 people.
