EAL has launched a suite of qualifications for the gas industry.
The specialist industry awarding organisation for the building services sector is offering qualifications covering metering, gas emergency service first call operatives, and the installation and maintenance of cookers, tumble dryers, leisure equipment, domestic space heating, domestic warm air heating, water heating and wet central heating.
EAL has worked with Energy & Utility Skills, the Sector Skills Council, to develop and deliver qualifications that cover all aspects of gas safety. Successful candidates will gain the skills, knowledge and competence to support their application for a Gas Safe Register ID card - the official stamp for gas safety in the UK - when they successfully complete these qualifications.
EAL managing director Ann Watson said: 'We are committed to developing qualifications which reflect the demands of the industry and provide the proper preparation for anyone looking to join it. We have capitalised on our closeness to industry and worked with Energy & Utility Skills to ensure that learners can access recognised and respected industry qualifications, which adequately prepare them for a long-term and worthwhile career in the gas industry.'
