Daikin UK to plant trees in carbon offsetting plan

Daikin UK has teamed up with The Carbon Managers Ltd to create a bespoke carbon offsetting project which will mean that the company donates funds to plant 3,500 trees, one tree for every ton of carbon used by Daikin UK during FY 2010.
Daikin UK is taking part in the 'trees for business' campaign which aims to plant over 100,000 trees in the UK during 2011. The new plan will see one tree planted for every tonne of carbon that Daikin UK emits.

The trees will be placed on the Alladale Reserve in Scotland where 20,000 trees are due to be planted to help restore the Ancient Caledonian Forest and help to re-establish endangered wildlife in the area.
