Coolair Equipment sponsor Timperley Hockey Club

Coolair Equipment have renewed sponsorship with Timperley Hockey Club for a third year running.

Timperley Hockey Club Men’s First XI.

Following a successful 2018/2019 season the men’s first team have been promoted into the national league for the first time in the club’s 140-year history.

Sponsorship from Coolair Equipment will help fund training and new technology to help the squad meet the tougher standards required in the England Hockey’s Men’s National Conference League.

Shelagh Everett, chair of Timperley Hockey Club, said: “We are delighted that Coolair Equipment will be investing in the club for a third year, providing vital funds.

“As the men’s squad step up to meet the improved standards of national league hockey, sponsorship from Coolair Equipment will support our investment in technology to enhance the performance training required at this level – including new video analysis, strength and conditioning monitoring as well as additional coaching.”

Helen Sharratt, finance director of Coolair Equipment, said: “We are proud to throw our support behind Timperley Hockey Club. As one of the oldest clubs in the region, they pride themselves on supporting the community and have a ‘grow your own’ policy of developing players through the ranks. It very much mirrors our own philosophy of nurturing our employees from leaving school.”

The sponsorship, will see Coolair Equipment’s logo on first team shirts and pitch-side banners, demonstrating the company’s support for grass roots sport.

The company already has strong links to the club through contracts engineer Andy Wareham who vice-captains the first team.

Mr Wareham said: “Coolair Equipment’s support means a lot to the team. We are looking forward to wearing the company colours in the national league and doing them proud.”

The 2019/2020 season will be an historic one for Timperley as it is the first time the club has had ladies’ and men’s teams both competing at national level.
