Continued success for Bosch CPD programme

More than 250 industry members have now completed the Bosch Commercial & Industrial Heating CPD programme on Combined Heat & Power (CHP) technology since the course was launched last October.
The CIBSE-affiliated training course is aimed at consultants, contractors and specifiers, and covers a multitude of CHP topic areas, from the principles of CHP, to the correct sizing of a system, and the installation, service, and maintenance requirements. The half day training programme, which can be tailored to meet exact requirements, can either be held at a customer's premises or at Bosch's Worcester-based training and assessment academy where they have access to a working CHP module.

Since it first launched, Bosch has seen professionals from a variety of different industry backgrounds sign up to the programme, which also counts towards a delegate's CIBSE CPD requirement.

Business development director at Bosch Commercial and Industrial Heating, Geoff Hobbs, said: 'The take-up of our bespoke CHP programme has been really encouraging and goes to show the growing levels of interest in the technology for commercial and industrial use.

'With the Government having made CHP exempt from its carbon tax as part of this year's Budget review, there has never been a better time to invest in CHP, and our CPD course is the ideal starting point for those keen to find out more about the technology and its benefits.'

Alan Cookson of D J McGough recently attended a Bosch CPD seminar. He said: 'The presentation which was delivered by Bosch was very accessible and went some way to demystifying the concept of CHP for those of us who were yet to familiarise ourselves with the technology. I will be actively looking for opportunities to propose CHP modules on future schemes once we have completed our MCS registration.'
