Carrier Rental Systems relocates to aid expansion

Carrier Rental Systems has moved its south England headquarters to new premises at West Drayton, near Heathrow in West London, as part of a strategic development plan.

The new location at Stockley Park in West Drayton is designed with sustainable features, rain water harvesting, use of photovoltaic panels and natural daylight.

The new location at Stockley Park provides expanded office and warehouse accommodation for the company’s growing fleet of cooling, heating and air movement equipment, with excellent links to the M25, M4 and wider UK transport network. This enables rapid deployment of hire plant to customers across the south of England.

The move is part of a strategic development plan for Carrier Rental Systems, which includes developing its network, renewing the fleet and adding new technical capabilities in order to further enhance its service to customers.

The building is equipped with photovoltaic panels, rainwater harvesting, zero-water urinals and natural roof lights to provide full spectrum daylight to offices and the warehouse space.

The move coincides with Carrier Rental Systems’ investment in a new fleet of chillers, boilers and portable air conditioning systems to provide high performance, low energy temperature control for offices, commercial buildings and industrial process applications.

It also follows the company’s acquisition of Watkins Hire in 2016, extending its capabilities and geographical reach. Watkins Hire, a specialist in the temperature control hire, focuses on heating and steam plant, which is highly complementary to Carrier Rental Systems’ offering in cooling and air movement equipment.

Marc White, director and general manager at Carrier Rental Systems said: “The move to new, larger premises is designed to further improve our service to our growing customer base by enabling rapid deployment of hire plant and expanding and renewing our fleet.

“Watkins Hire has provided a significant new capability with its expertise and specialist equipment offering in steam heating, and has provided additional depots that extend our geographical coverage to further improve speed of response to customers across the country.”
