Carrier announces Viridus Energy as exclusive distributor in Republic of Ireland

Carrier Solutions UK has announced a significant shift in its business model for the Republic of Ireland, designed to optimise service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Beginning September 1, 2024, Carrier will move to a wholly distribution model for its Toshiba HVAC solutions, Carrier VRF, and Vokèra heating product lines through Viridus Energy, deepening a successful partnership that began in 2023.

This strategic shift follows the announcement in March 2024, naming Viridus Energy as the new distributor for Toshiba HVAC products in Ireland. The growing relationship between Carrier and Viridus Energy has highlighted the mutual benefits of a focused distribution strategy, which will now encompass an expanded range of products and services.

The new business model will include the transfer of the Vokèra business located in Callan, Co Kilkenny, to Viridus Energy. The operational base in Callan will remain, ensuring continuity of service and support for customers and partners. Furthermore, the existing staff at the Vokèra facility will join the Viridus Energy team, continuing their roles with the new organisational structure.

'This move marks a significant milestone in our strategic efforts to streamline operations and leverage local expertise through Viridus Energy,” said David Dunn, Managing Director for the United Kingdom and Ireland, Carrier RLC. “Our partnership has proven highly effective, and this new model will enhance our ability to serve our customers with even greater efficiency and innovation.'

Tom Lyons, Managing Director of Viridus Energy, also expressed enthusiasm for the expanded cooperation. 'We are thrilled to deepen our collaboration with Carrier. This evolution in our relationship allows us to fully leverage the strengths of both companies to deliver superior VRF, Heat Pump and Gas Boiler solutions across Ireland. We are committed to a seamless transition for both customers and employees.'

Carrier’s commitment to innovation, along with Viridus Energy’s strong market presence, will continue to serve and expand their customer base in Ireland, ensuring top-tier products and service delivery that both companies are known for.
