Buderus strikes deal with biomass boiler supplier
[firstParagraph]
Bosch Thermotechnology - owner of boiler manufacturers Buderus and Worcester - has formed an alliance with biomass heating supplier Econergy to 'provide investors, consultants and contractors [with] the most comprehensive system and service solution for commercial biomass installations in the UK'.
A statement from Buderus said: 'Both companies share a common solution-orientated approach and are focused on delivering best value over the product's lifetime. As an alliance, they will work closely together from initial design proposal to final commissioning and system maintenance to offer a seamless package of support... Each company will promote the other's products and services and encourage customers to make full benefit of the integrated solution that they can provide.'
Buderus sales director Richard Evans said: 'In most biomass installations there are also gas or oil fired boilers and controls and we have worked closely to design systems so that our products will work perfectly together. Both companies have a quality driven approach and a well-established reputation for delivering high standards in all areas, so there is a very defined link between us. We are looking forward to a very prosperous relationship.'
Chris Miles, managing director of at Econergy, added: 'Commercial scale biomass boilers are recognised by the Department of Energy and Climate Change as one of the most cost effective technologies to deliver renewable heat, so... we expect the demand for biomass boilers to increase significantly.'
Econergy offers biomass boilers manufactured by Froeling and KWB.
