BSRIA appoints new Principal Consultant

BSRIA has appointed Martin Ronceray as its new Principal Consultant – Construction Process in its Sustainable Construction Group. This is a newly-created role.

BSRIA has appointed Martin Ronceray as its new Principal Consultant – Construction Process in its Sustainable Construction Group. This is a newly-created role.

BSRIA said the appointment of Martin showed a commitment to offering a strategic construction consultancy – spanning the whole construction process – from conceptual design to on-site construction right through to post-occupancy evaluation. In essence: offering construction guidance from both client and contractor perspective.

Martin has been working in the energy sector for a major engineering consultancy company over the last 10 years in the UK. Before that he worked in France for a couple of years in the construction and automotive industries.

He completed an engineering degree in France with a speciality in Materials, Technology and Environment and an MSc from Cranfield University in Offshore and Ocean Technology. Martin is also a Chartered Engineer and qualified European Engineer.

Bringing experience of working overseas – both collaboratively and independently, he thrives on building new as well as maintaining existing relationships with customers, stakeholders, external suppliers and staff.

Jo Harris, sustainable construction group manager at BSRIA, said: “Martin brings with him a wealth of experience in wide-ranging and interesting industries. We see the appointment of Martin as an essential step in our continued development of this key area which highlight’s BSRIA’s commitment to the full spectrum of sustainable building construction.”

Martin said: “I am very excited about this opportunity in a new role and the chance to enhance BSRIA’s Sustainable Construction Group reputation. BSRIA is a great organisation and I’m keen to bring my extensive and diverse engineering experience to complement and support the work of technical experts within the department. There is clearly a great deal of knowledge at BSRIA so my research-related approach will be the perfect fit.
