Bronze status for BSRIA at Supply Chain Sustainability School

BSRIA has been awarded the “bronze” status within the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

Chris Knights, compliance manager at BSRIA

The Homes School within the Supply Chain Sustainability School has been founded by 10 partners – the UK's top residential builders and trade organisations – who have collaborated to create a comprehensive, free at the point of use learning resource for the homes sector, covering the three pillars of sustainability – social, economic and environmental.

The School is backed and funded by the UK’s top housebuilders, contractors and clients and was founded to help the supply chain meet the challenging targets set out by government regarding housebuilding: delivering half a million new homes by 2022, and doing so with improved levels of efficiency, quality and sustainability.

The School runs a series of workshops, working to produce a “best in class UK supply chain” across a number of sectors via their online learning platform.

Chris Knights, compliance manager at BSRIA, said: “BSRIA is delighted to have been awarded bronze status for this scheme, which is a growing scheme attracting national recognition. Naturally, we will be continuing our journey with the School and progressing to silver status in the near future.

Sustainability across all platforms is a key feature for working practices, not only within the Compliance Department, but for BSRIA as a company. Indeed, the pillars of social, economic and environmental policy are values at the heart of all BSRIA’s work.”
