BESA and REFCOM extend support for members

As part of a concerted drive by its management team to extend the services it offers to its members, BESA and REFCOM have launched their own brand of specialised business-related insurance products in conjunction with Marsh Commercial.

The new service will offer a range of insurance policies tailored specifically for BESA and REFCOM members that includes: public liability, employers liability, professional indemnity, cyber insurance, tools insurance and van/fleet insurance. All policies have been developed and selected with the needs of BESA and REFCOM members in mind. BESA Business Insurance Services and REFCOM Business Insurance Services are trading names of Marsh Commercial.

Kirsty Cogan, managing director of commercial services at BESA said: “Because of the high bar we set with the BESA Competence Assessment Standard and the REFCOM compliance audit, that all members have to meet, we have been able to agree preferential rates.”

Jason Hemmingway, membership director at BESA stated: “We are constantly striving to enhance the benefits we offer members and insurance is one of those essential services we know has become challenging in recent years, with premiums rising. Our partnership with Marsh means we can offer a much-needed service to our members. “

Paul Buckle, managing director of schemes and affinities at Marsh Commercial said: “We’re delighted to be working with BESA and REFCOM to provide insurance that meets the needs of their members. We’ve worked closely with them to understand the specialist risks that face the membership and have developed a range of solutions to effectively manage those risks. We look forward to developing our relationship with BESA and REFCOM and making a success of these new solutions  for their members.”
