Baxi-SenerTec UK, the business unit responsible for marketing the Dachs mini-CHP in the UK, is now part of the Baxi Commercial division.
The move has already seen Baxi-Senertec relocate to Baxi Commercial premises in Erdington, Birmingham and David Shaw, business manager of Baxi-SenerTec UK has joined Baxi Commercial division, reporting to Paul Hardy, managing director.
The company said the change was aimed at penetration of Dachs mini-CHP into the commercial sector of the UK market by closely linking in with low and zero carbon (LZC) technologies already available from Baxi Commercial division.
Paul Hardy said: ”It is essential for mini-CHP technology to be fully supported, in terms of systems integration design, sales and technical assistance through to commissioning and all administrative back-up'. He added: 'Facilitating this from under one roof enables, design consultants, design and build contractors and specifiers to involve us at the earliest stage in their projects'.
The Dachs mini-CHP unit is Europe’s biggest selling combined heat and power unit. The microgeneration technology generates 5.5 kW of low carbon, low cost, 3-phase electricity and produces 12.5-155 kW of heat.
“It is a logical step forward to bring the Baxi-SenerTec UK business under the Baxi Commercial division umbrella”, said David Shaw, “as I firmly believe the Dachs mini-CHP unit will increasingly become an invaluable integral part of commercial heating systems. The emphasis is already moving towards incorporating compatible LZC technologies with conventional high efficiency heating equipment, in anticipation of the Energy Using Products Directive coming into force in 2010”.
