Armstrong's CIBSE seminars ready to go

Armstrong has for the first time a series of CIBSE accredited training seminars to assist Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for HVAC professionals.
Armstrong
Although Armstrong are used to delivering HVAC seminars for firms, the heating ventilating and air-conditioning manufacturer received CIBSE accreditation for its latest program of seminars a few months ago.

The training seminars are delivered by members of the Armstrong technical team and cover all aspects and issues associated with HVAC fluid systems.

CPD seminars can be held at the client's premises or alternatively training can be organized at any of Armstrong's UK facilities or third party venues. All courses are free of charge.

The sessions assist HVAC engineers, consultants and M & E designers to reduce installed and lifetime costs of projects, to identify technical solutions and to harness the benefits of the latest technology.

Heavy emphasis is placed on sustainability and the challenging of engineering concepts from basics to integrated design approaches.

Each CPD module lasts one hour and includes time for discussion and questions.

There are currently ten subject areas as follows:

Variable speed pumping
Ultra efficient chilled water plant control
Space optimization in HVAC plantrooms
Integrated heating systems
Building Regulations Part L
Pump selection and control
Reducing carbon footprint in HVAC systems
Lowest installed cost opportunities in HVAC systems
Maintenance cost reduction in pump installations
Value engineering in HVAC systems

A spokesman for the Manchester-based firm said 'The latest series of seminars fit within the 'lunchtime learning' format which has proved so popular with Armstrong clients in previous years'.
