Act fast for latest Salix grants, says Sabien

Public sector organisations intending to take advantage of the latest tranche of Salix loans for energy efficiency projects need to act fast and ensure they are proposing the use of proven technologies, says Sabien Technology.
'The Salix funding model has already helped to fund over 8,000 projects with interest-free loans, a number of which have used our M2G technology to reduce the gas consumption of their boilers,' explained Sabien CEO Alan O'Brien.

'Acceptance requires the use of a proven technology and the latest fund of £20m is only available until March 31st 2012, so it makes sense to invest in technologies that have already proven acceptable to Salix,' he added.

Salix is a not-for-profit, independent social enterprise that provides funding for proven technologies that are cost-effective in saving CO2.

Salix loans covers schools, hospitals, local authorities, further and higher education organisations, allowing up to 100% interest-free financing of energy-saving projects. Projects have to be accepted for funding by 31st March 2012 and completed by 31st December 2012.
