England’s cricket hero and star spin bowler Monty Panesar regularly plays for Northamptonshire County cricket club and will sport the Briggs & Forrester name across his chest when playing for his regional team.
England’s No. 1 spin bowler is the first Sikh to play cricket for England. His real name is Mudhsuden Singh Panesar but his name could well have been mud had he not been so successful on the cricket field. Monty is often referred to as ‘the Turbanator’ for his winning moves to kill the opposition on the cricket field.

“Monty Panesar is an important player for both Northamptonshire and England and has been one of our most successful bowlers in the recent test matches' said a spokesman for Briggs & Forrester.

The M&E firm, which designs, installs and maintains building services installations, has offices in Kingsthorpe, Northampton.

'We are proud that he and his team mates wear the Briggs & Forrester name whilst playing”, he added.

Monty’s father a keen cricket fan and no stranger to construction (he worked as a carpenter in the construction trade), was proud to see Panesar offered a contract by Northamptonshire County cricket club. But Monty decided to study for a computer science degree at Loughborough university before becoming a full member of the county team in 2005, following his graduation.

In 2006, Monty was selected by England for the tour of India. He took 3 wickets in his first match, including that of his hero, Sachin Tendulkar.
