Workshop focuses on heating for new build at Carbon Trust Conference

A workshop looking at how the nation can achieve low carbon heating for the new-build residential sector is being hosted by heat pump manufacturer Mitsubishi Electric at a special CPD-accredited event organised by the Carbon Trust.

The Carbon Trust Public Sector Conference 2016 is being held on the 10 February in Bishopsgate, London, and will see keynote speeches from Lord Bourne of Aberystwyth and Professor Dame Julia Slingo OBE FRS.

Jordan Jeewood, technical expert on renewable heating for Mitsubishi Electric, said: “We are supporting this event because the nation needs to build thousands of new homes and these will need to be as energy efficient as possible so we can help the nation achieve ambitious carbon reduction targets.”

“What we will be focusing on is how existing technology can be used to make a difference in supplying reliable warmth to new homes in ways that helps keep fuel bills low and reduces carbon emissions”.

Mitsubishi Electric is exhibiting at the event which looks at how the public sector can lead the way towards meaningful and necessary action on climate change in these very challenging times.

The company offers renewable heat pumps for both the domestic and commercial sector and has recently launched a new Ecodan air source heat pump which is designed specifically for the new-build residential sector.
