White paper published on thermal destratification in buildings

Drumbeat Energy Management, a new energy management business support service, has published a white paper on thermal destratification in buildings.
Entitled 'Thermal destratification in buildings: The missing piece to the HVAC puzzle', the white paper can be downloaded at http://bit.ly/11kILHF.

A relatively new technology to the UK, thermal destratification met considerable resistance and scepticism when introduced a few years ago, despite being well established in the USA.

Graham Mills, founder of Drumbeat Energy, said: 'Drumbeat Energy regards it as 'common sense' technology - one we all need to appreciate. Everyone knows that hot air rises and therefore air at ceiling level is likely to be warmer than at people level. So rather than having the heat up there ... let's have it down here where it can do some good.'

'And if it's down here, we don't need as much heat from elsewhere - like our heating system. Not surprisingly, heating bills and carbon emissions come down, whilst internal environments are improved,' he added.
