The role of plastics in net zero drive

A webinar from the BPF Pipes Group takes place on 20 October focusing on the role plastic pipes will pay in contributing towards the UK’s net zero targets.

Aimed at those wanting to improve their knowledge of the net zero economy, the first part of this webinar will focus on how plastic pipe manufacturers can reduce their net carbon emissions and measure progress.  It will also scope out what is covered by the definition of net zero.

The second part of the webinar will cover how plastic pipes contribute to our journey to net zero through their various applications.  Plastic pipes have many benefits, making them suitable for low carbon applications.  This section will cover why plastic pipes are chosen for applications like hydrogen, ground source heat pumps, district heating and underfloor heating.

The webinar will be presented by Steve Richmond, BPF Pipes group vice-president and Dr Richard Edwards who sits on the BPF Pipes Group Council and manages the plastic pipe division of a group member’s busines.
