Swegon expects turnover increase of 39% in 2011
The wholly owned subsidiary of Investment AB Latour has doubled its turnover during the past five years and expects even more significant growth during the upcoming years.

Orjan Ahlgren, cfo of Swegon AB, said: 'The economic boom, large investments in our production facilities to increase capacity and our comprehensive offer... accomplished by strategic acquisitions during the last years, contributes to very positive sales results.'

The company is going to celebrate its 80th anniversary next year and had a turnover of 2.153 million kr (€241 million) in 2010 and aims for a turnover of more than €300 m this year. 'This would mean an increase by 39 per cent. And we even estimate an improved result for 2011', continued Mr Ahlgren.

To be able to cope with the increased demand, Swegon has invested in its production plants. New production lines are also being built in three of Swegon's five plants and extensions have been made in two factories.

Mr Ahlgren added: 'The hvac consultants on our European markets are very busy at the moment and many projects are under way or coming up. The economic forecasts are favourable on most markets and the first quarter of 2011 closed with very satisfactory results. We are optimistic to achieve our ambitious aims.'
