Sime welcomes new product manager

Intelligent heating and hot water solutions provider Sime, has appointed Phil Birchenough as product manager, based at Sime’s headquarters in Castleford, West Yorkshire.  Phil joins Sime with a wealth of technical experience spanning over 30 years in both the commercial and domestic sectors, having worked with boiler manufacturers, local authorities, and contractors.  He will be responsible for leading and enhancing the technical and after sales service that Sime currently offers.

Phil’s background means he will play a key role in product development, in partnership with the technical team at Sime’s head office in Italy.  He has a strong grasp of how to develop and manage the relationships with agents and installers and will use this to introduce new boilers and accessories from the substantial global Sime portfolio to the UK market.

Commenting on his new role, Phil said, “The role of product manager is a pivotal one within Sime and I will be driving both new product development and developing our servicing and after sales offering, liaising with the whole Sime team to elevate how we prioritise our technical support, service and warranty work for both our domestic and commercial users.  I am delighted to be joining Sime at such an exciting time in the company’s history.”

Phil’s appointment further strengthens the expanding Sime team, and is part of the company’s overall strategy to raise awareness of the Sime brand in the UK and broaden its reach in the boiler market.

National sales manager John Moran adds: “Phil’s technical competencies and industry experience combine to provide a much-needed product specialist within our ever-growing team.  This will be invaluable to Sime in the coming years as we seek to further develop our product range, enhance our technical service and extend our sales reach in the UK market.”
