SAV Systems and Danfoss partner to tackle fuel poverty

SAV Systems has teamed up with technology partners Danfoss in an initiative to raise awareness about fuel poverty and offer practical solutions through energy-efficient heat networks.

SAV Systems has teamed up with technology partners Danfoss in an initiative to raise awareness about fuel poverty and offer practical solutions through energy-efficient heat networks.

The discussions took place during a recent visit to SAV Systems’ low carbon application centre in Woking by Danfoss senior executives Lars Tveen, segment president for Danfoss Heating, and Søren Lyngholm, vice president for Light Duty Stations.

Actions to follow will include an educational campaign combined with the development of new, more efficient heat interface units in the Danfoss FlatStation range for use in heat networks.

Managing director of SAV Systems, Lars Fabricius, said: “Fuel poverty is a more widespread socio-economic issue across the UK than many people realise and poor energy efficiency is one of the key contributory factors. Working closely with our colleagues at Danfoss we will be promoting greater awareness of this issue and the role of lean heat networks in driving down energy costs.”
