The new exhibition is the only national showcase for innovation, networking and knowledge transfer for industry and end users whose businesses rely on air conditioning and refrigeration plant and equipment.

The event, in Hall 19 at the NEC, will enable visitors to see the latest products and technology across the commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration sector and get up-to-date with the latest legislation and technical trends.

With five months to go until the doors open, the show is already three quarters booked. Visitors will also have free access to the UK's cooling experts in three days of cutting edge seminars, which will run throughout the event in twin auditoriums on the exhibition floor.

The show is backed by three big-name sponsors: LG is sponsoring one of the two seminar theatres, Panasonic is sponsoring the Heat Pump Arena, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is sponsoring the onsite visitor registration area.

Visitors will be able to see the latest offering from well-known companies such as: AHT Cooling Systems, Bitzer UK, Danfoss, Dorin, Emerson Climate Technologies, Frascold, Fujitsu General (UK) , GEA Searle, Gram (UK), Hoshizaki, HRP, Hubbard, J&E Hall International, Javac, Mexichem Fluor, National Refrigerants, Oceanair, Sabroe, Teknic Refrigeration, Thermofrost Cryo and Toshiba.

'Since registration went live a few days ago, we have been delighted with the level of interest from both the trade and end users,' says Iona Spencer, sales manager for the show. 'With a top-notch seminar programme addressing the industry's burning issues, a comprehensive exhibitor list, and hands-on access to the latest design trends and technology, the show is set to be a must-attend event for everyone whose livelihoods depend on cooling, air conditioning or heat pumps.'

The show will have a dedicated arena for heat pump technology, where visitors can see the latest contenders in the race to harness low-cost renewable energy.

Air conditioning and refrigeration equipment accounts for around 20 per cent of total UK energy consumption. With energy costs rocketing, cutting running costs is a key issue for end users.

This will be reflected in the high profile seminar programme, with practical presentations showing how the trade and end users can cut running costs and carbon emissions from cooling plant.

Other key themes will include:

· the impact of F-Gas legislation on the trade and equipment users;
· how to respond to the imminent phase-out of R22 refrigerant - still one of the most common refrigerants in use;
· the latest developments in alternative cooling systems that don't depend on high global warming HFCs.
