RDM acquires Taiwanese manufacturer

HVACR controls firm Resource Data Management (RDM) has bought Taiwan-based component and electronics manufacturer, FYC Co Ltd.
FYC Co Ltd has recently invested in two electronics production machines, a new assembly line and a plastic moulding and enclosure design facility.

The acquisition will mean all RDM's products and software will be designed and developed in the UK, with manufacture carried out in Taiwan.

Andy Chandler, managing director of RDM-based in Glasgow, said 'The deal secures a high quality, cost-effective manufacturing capability for RDM's expanding range of controls for the future.'

He added 'We have worked closely with the company in the past. We will be co-operating with them on the development of a new generation of controls and related products, that significantly extend our range.'
