The Design and Build Awards has awarded the Milton Keynes company Buckinghamshire’s ‘Most Outstanding Commercial Heating and Plumbing Contractor’ in 2021.
The company has also been unveiled as finalists in the SME MK & Buckinghamshire Business Awards – for both the Employer of the Year and Milton Keynes Business of the Year categories.
Managing director Carl Yeomanson, who launched his company Plumbing & Gas Solutions 11 years ago, has used the disruption of COVID-19 to rethink and reshape his business.
He said: “We’re extremely proud to have received this national Design and Build Award and to be recognised alongside so many multinational corporations and talented independent tradespeople.
“We have worked hard over the last year to continue to support our clients, adapting our services to suit their changing needs and providing essential services 24/7 to enable them to continue to operate safely and securely through this challenging time.
“To also be unveiled as finalists in the SME awards is the icing on the cake and we look forward to the SME awards ceremony in September.“
In January Mr Yeomanson launched a second, sister company – Facilities Management Solutions – which is also based in Milton Keynes.
As with Plumbing and Gas Solutions, the new company is initially focusing on serving businesses in Milton Keynes and the wider areas of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Northamptonshire.
Carl added: “Despite the challenges I believe the pandemic has created a climate for businesses to flourish if they can distinguish themselves – and that is exactly what we have strived to do.”
