A new online portal providing access to free information and project specification tools has been launched.
The Gateway, brings together a suite of online calculators designed to help installers and project owners identify and cost renewable energy opportunities, cut the costs of winning business and ensure they secure the maximum returns from projects.
The portal was developed by Midlands-based microgeneration consultancy Encraft to make it easy to assess project opportunities quickly, so installers can download the code and embed the applications in their own choice of colour scheme and branding in minutes.
All the tools are said to be independent and impartial, and use national calculation methodologies such as SAP2009 and Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) to provide robust outputs. They are free to use on the Gateway, and can be used under license on installers' own websites for as little as £150 a year.
Unveiling the portal, Encraft's managing director Matthew Rhodes said: 'The Gateway website is another significant step forward for Encraft. More than 9000 companies and individuals already use our previous generation of calculators to make project development easier, and this portal makes it much easier for installers to find and tailor the tools they need.
'As well as launching the Gateway, we've significantly updated the user-friendliness and reporting from the tools, and I think our customers will notice the difference immediately. We'll be adding to the range of tools available through the Gateway continuously in the coming months, and look forward to feedback. We are always willing to develop bespoke versions of our calculators for our customers, and are proud to have been supporting major customers like Worcester Bosch for several years.'
