New MCS training from Dimplex

Dimplex has introduced the MCS Made Easy training course to help installers to get involved in the renewables industry.
The MCS Made Easy course and manual form an in-depth guide to help installers meet MCS documentation requirements, taking the installer through the scheme's registration process to prepare for a successful Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) assessment.

In particular, the course outlines what the MCS assessor will be looking for and aims to minimise the number of non-conformances a company is likely to receive from the certification body.

MCS accreditation gives customers the reassurance of a high quality installation every time, and is also linked to incentives such as the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) and the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP), so it gives installers a real advantage in a competitive market.

Dimplex says that the course is designed to leave participants with knowledge of a structured quality management system to implement in their own business, eliminating the need to spend time and resource developing their own systems.

Delivered by the ECA, an independently endorsed and externally accredited training provider, on behalf of Dimplex, MCS Made Easy is designed for smaller-scale installers working from a single office, putting in up to 600 hours a week on renewable technology.

Typical delegates will be installers responsible for survey, design, specification and quotation of microgeneration systems, nominated representatives and qualified supervisors, or those responsible for demonstrating compliance with the requirements of MCS001.

The course costs £210 per delegate, which includes a course manual, lunch and refreshments. Each company attending will also receive a £100 Dimplex Renewables voucher. For more details, visit: www.dimplex.co.uk/renewables
