BSRIA has announced the appointment of Mike Lee to its membership team in the role of training development manager.

Mike Lee, BSRIA's new training development manager.

BSRIA has stated that Mr Lee's appointment demonstrates the organisation's continued commitment to expanding the training business, which will see the introduction of new courses and a portfolio of e-learning modules.

Mr Lee joins BSRIA from Carillion Training Services, where he was responsible for apprentice training in London and the South East. A highly professional training manager with commercial experience and strong people skills, Mr Lee's appointment is viewed as a vital step for BSRIA in the ongoing development of its training portfolio.

Tim Page, head of membership and marketing, said: “We are delighted to have appointed Mike into this crucial and central role to reinforce the training team.

“Mike has a wealth of experience in developing training within the construction sector which, combined with his commercial acumen, made him the ideal candidate for this exciting new role. Mike’s key tasks will be the introduction of new training courses and the launch of BSRIA’s e-learning courses.”

Mr Lee added: “I am delighted to have taken up the role of training development manager at BSRIA at this significant time to ensure members, clients and the wider industry gets the most out of cutting edge training at all times.

“BSRIA provides a wide range of training courses, networks, events and webinars and I am keen to cultivate these. Our training courses, delivered by BSRIA engineers and associates, have been developed over a number of years with many based on BSRIA’s published best practice guides. BSRIA’s networks, events and webinars offer opportunities for learning and networking on the latest key issues impacting our industry.

“I’m keen to work with both existing members and clients and welcome new regional, national and global businesses to support BSRIA in its effort to offer the best training opportunities to the built environment and construction industry.”
